Community Engagement Programme

This month, the Thames Strategy London Central and Thames Strategy East entered an exciting new phase!

We are happy to report that TEP has appointed Alan Baxter Associates, with LDA Design, to conduct the each of the strategies’ Landscape Character Assessments. The Alan Baxter/LDA team has had a lot of experience in delivering projects like this one and we are incredibly excited to work with them!

Alongside this, TEP is kick-starting the Community Engagement phase of the JTS programme. While understanding the landscape of the riverside is incredibly important, we believe that the most crucial aspect to building a robust strategy is engaging with the people who live, work and engage with the River Thames. As part of the this the TEP team is looking to deliver a programme of engagement activities, including a series of workshops, to bring together interested people and groups to talk about their visions for a better riverside that can withstand future climate pressures and provide spaces to build a positive relationship with the Thames for everyone.

While we roll-out our programme, we want to hear from you! We want to know what challenges, opportunities and experiences you have had with the river, and most of all we want to know how we can bring your ideas for a better riverside into our strategies. Whether you are a community member, business owner, developer, resident or just someone with a deep interest in the Thames, you are welcome to get into contact with us at info@jtsrefresh.com to get involved and share your views.

We look forward to all the exciting work coming up for JTS and to share it with you all!
